“Free full version”
Bedrock is paid. Mojang offers a time-limited official trial and nothing else that is free and complete. A site offering the full game for nothing is not giving you Minecraft.

This page exists because a reference site is only as useful as its willingness to say where its facts came from and what it does not know. Everything below is a commitment you can hold this site to, not a marketing statement.

What this site does
- Explains what Bedrock Edition is, in plain English, for people who have not played it
- Publishes device compatibility matrices and decision guides for buyers
- Labels each claim by confidence and links the source next to it
- Lets you download Minecraft Bedrock for your device
- Routes real faults to the publisher’s own support articles
- States a review date, and says plainly when something is unknown or volatile
What this site never does
- Ask you to pay through a fake checkout or cart
- Offer cracked builds, repacks, or modified clients
- Ask for your Microsoft password, recovery codes, or payment details
- Present a checkout, cart, or store interface of any kind
- Claim to be Mojang, Microsoft, or an official partner
- Claim first-hand testing, benchmarks, or personal play experience it did not do
- Promise search rankings, guaranteed fixes, or refund outcomes
On the last point in that list, specifically. Nothing on this site is written from personal play testing, and no performance figures, frame rates or benchmark results are presented as our own measurements. Where a page says something about how a device behaves, it is either sourced from the publisher or explicitly labelled as reported by the community. We would rather be less impressive and accurate.
Method
The source hierarchy, and what each label means
Claims are ranked by who made them, not by how often they are repeated online. A statement that appears in a thousand forum posts does not outrank a single sentence on a publisher’s page.
Order of precedence
- The publisher. Pages on minecraft.net, help.minecraft.net, and Microsoft Learn’s Minecraft creator documentation. These outrank everything else.
- The platform holder. Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Apple, Google and Amazon, for anything about their own store, subscription or hardware.
- Community documentation. Primarily the Minecraft Wiki, which is detailed and generally careful but is not the publisher and can lag behind changes.
- Player reports. Help forums and community threads. These are used only to work out which questions are common. They are never the basis of an answer.
The four labels
Verified
The claim appears on a page from tier 1 or tier 2 above, and that page is linked next to it. If you click through and the page no longer says it, the label is wrong and we want to know.
Variable
The general shape of the claim is reliable, but the specific value depends on your store, region, device model or the current game version. We name the place to check instead of quoting a number.
User-reported
Documented at tier 3 or observed at tier 4, but not confirmed by the publisher. Treat it as a lead to verify, particularly before spending money on the strength of it.
Announced
Officially announced but not released as of the page’s review date. Written in the future tense on purpose, and never counted as an available feature.
Three self-imposed rules
- No prices. Minecraft’s price, bundle contents and subscription tiers differ by region and change over time. Any figure printed here would be wrong for some readers on the day they read it, so we link the official pricing page instead. This is deliberate, not an oversight.
- No future tense dressed as present tense. An announced release date is not a feature you can use. Announcements are labelled and dated, and the review date on each page tells you the vantage point we wrote from.
- No invented specifics. If we cannot currently verify a version number, a hardware requirement or a player count at source, we describe the shape of the answer and send you to the authority rather than filling the gap with a plausible-looking number.
Why community threads are linked at all. A few pages link help-forum discussions. Those links exist to show that a question is genuinely common — which is why a section exists — and never to endorse the answers inside them. Where a page does that, the link is labelled User-reported and the surrounding text says what it is being used for.
Maintenance
Review dates, and the claims most likely to go stale
Every content page carries a review date at the foot of its sections. That date is the vantage point the page was written from — not a promise that nothing has changed since. Below is the honest list of what we expect to change, so you know where to be sceptical.

Corrections policy
- The publisher wins. If an official page contradicts something here, the official page is correct and this site is wrong. Do not act on our version.
- Corrections are made in place, and the affected page’s review date is updated so you can tell it has been revisited.
- Labels are part of the claim. If a claim is downgraded from Verified to User-reported because a source page changed, the label changes with it rather than the claim quietly staying.
- Volatile facts are not silently frozen. Where a number would go stale, this site links the authority instead of quoting it. That is why some answers deliberately end with “check your own store”.
- Nothing here is legal, financial, or safety advice, and no outcome — a refund, a fix, a search ranking — is promised anywhere on this site.

How to recognise a bad source
A sign-in form on a fan site
Legitimate Minecraft sign-in happens in the game client or on a Microsoft page. Any other site asking for those credentials is harvesting them.
An installer or APK from a forum
Bedrock is distributed through platform stores. A standalone game installer from a third party is either malware or a pirated build, and often both.
Unusually cheap keys
Keys from unfamiliar resellers can be region-locked, already redeemed, or revoked later, and the platform store will not help you recover the money.
If your antivirus flags a Minecraft file you downloaded from a website, believe it. That is information about the website, not about Minecraft. Delete the file and download Minecraft Bedrock from this site instead. Our own pages serve only static HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images — no crypto mining, no drive-by installs.
Accounts
Account safety, and what we will never ask for
Minecraft accounts are targets because they hold purchases and, for many players, years of work. The protective habits are simple, and they matter more than any antivirus setting.
We will never ask for your credentials No page on this site will ever request a Microsoft password, a recovery code, a two-factor code, or payment details. If you see something claiming to be us and asking for those, it is not us.
Sign in only in the game or on Microsoft pages Those are the two legitimate places. Skin sites, server lists, “free Minecoins” pages and giveaway pages are the common phishing surfaces.
Use the platform’s own protections for children Xbox states that only a parent using the family group can change a child account’s privacy and online settings. Set this up with the adult account before handing over the device.
Put spending controls above the game, not inside it Minecoins are bought through the platform store, so purchase approval and spending limits belong at the platform level to be effective.
Treat friend requests as decisions Especially for a child account. Featured servers are public spaces run by third parties with their own moderation, not private rooms.
Recover accounts only through official channels Use the publisher’s support flow. Third parties offering account recovery are, at best, not able to help.

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is proprietary software owned by Microsoft. Its source is not public, and this site does not distribute source files, decompiled code, or reverse-engineered builds. Nor do we claim any open-source status for the game.

Full disclosure
Known limitations of this site
A reference that only lists its strengths is marketing. These are the real gaps, and knowing them tells you when to go elsewhere.
No hands-on testing
We have not measured performance on any device and do not present benchmarks. For real-world feel on marginal hardware, the official free trial on that exact device will tell you more than we can.
US-region links
Store links point at US-region listings as a reference locale. Most redirect, but availability and contents differ by region, so open the store from your own device if something looks wrong.
Menu wording drifts
Settings paths differ across consoles, phones and PC, and change with updates. We describe what to look for and link the official article for exact current steps rather than freezing screenshots.
Java Edition is out of scope
This site covers Bedrock. Where Java is the right answer we say so and send you to official resources, but we do not attempt to be a Java reference.
Not a support desk
We cannot look at your account, process a refund, restore a world, or escalate anything. Only the publisher and the store that took your payment can do those things.
Translations may lag
Other language versions of this site are maintained separately from the English pages and may be behind them. Where they differ, the English page carries the current review date.
The short version. Use this site to download Minecraft Bedrock and to understand how it fits your devices and household. Use the publisher for prices, current policy, and anything broken. If we have got something wrong, the official page is the one to believe.
